Within the company, access to personal data is given to those entities that require the data in order to comply with our contractual and statutory obligations. Processors (Article 28 GDPR) that we use also may receive data for these specified purposes. With respect to the disclosure of data to recipients outside of the company, it is first to be kept in mind that we are obligated under the General Business Terms and Conditions agreed upon between them and us to maintain in confidence all customer-related facts and assessments that we learn of (trade secret). We may disclose information about you only if statutory provisions require this, if you have consented, or if we are authorised to provide the information. Other data recipients may be those entities for which you have granted us your consent to data transfer.

Duration of data storage

Where necessary, we process and store personal data for the duration of our business relationship, which for instance also covers the initiation and performance of a contract.

In addition, we are subject to various retention and documentation obligations, inter alia, under the German Commercial Code (HGB), the German Fiscal Code (AO), and tax law. The periods for retention and documentation that are specified there amount to two to ten years.

Ultimately, the storage period also depends on statutory prescription period, which normally may amount, e.g. under sections 195 et seqq. of the German Civil Code (BGB), to three years but in certain cases to up to 30 years.

We use scoring to evaluate your creditworthiness (e.g. Creditreform). In doing so, we calculate the likelihood that a customer will fulfil its payment obligations in conformity with the contract. Scoring is based on a statistically recognised, established procedure. The calculated scores help us to make decisions about product conclusions and form part of ongoing risk management.
